I met Steve at Tulane and became friends immediately. He was a kind funny person always and I am heartbroken to learn that he is no longer with us.

I worked with Steve at the US Department of Energy in the late `70s. He was smart, energetic, and above all, wise beyond his years! A true mensch!

Can't think of the days of Tulane student government, McGovern campaign, or New Orleans Robert St student commune, without the fondest memories of Steve. Truly a delight to have known and befriended.

Steve´s commitment to wetlands and the Clean WaterAct, his brilliant legal skills, his grace, his humor, and his love of life and family continue to be an inspiration to me and a blessing to the world.

Steve meant a lot to me at EPA. His support was important on wetlands and other Clean Water Act matters.

Walter and I remember happily canvassing for Abigail Spanberger alongside Joanna and Steve in 2018 - they were both veteran canvassers and so joyful. I also worked with Steve on various NOPE video projects - such a kind, sincere, talented man. He is missed. Laurie Minerbi
