Susie Jane Paul, 33 of Eskasoni, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Sheila Googoo and Clarence Paul Sr. of Eskasoni.
She was a member of Holy Family parish, Eskasoni. Jane was a caring, compassionate woman who had a great love for her children, family and extended family. She was a strong advocate for the newly formed Mi'kmaq Women's Resource Center where she volunteered her time and always greeted people with her beautiful smile.
She is survived by her daugthers, Aleigha and Crisinda , son Duran; sister Megan Paul; brothers Denny Googoo, Robert Googoo, Clarence Paul Jr., Blake Paul and Austin Herney; godchild Emily Googoo, several aunts, uncles, friends, all of Eskasoni and her large family that loved her and cared for her. She will be greatly missed by special friends Bernadette Marshall and Heidi Marshall.
Jane was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Roddy and Matilda Googoo and paternal grandmother Mary Chase.
Visitation for Jane Paul will begin on Sunday, March 6 after 7 pm at the Gabriel Center, Eskasoni. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 am at Holy Family Church with Rev. Martin MacDougall officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery, Eskasoni.
