I can't believe it. I just googled Thomas last night to see what he is up to because he wasn't replying to my emails anymore. I met Thomas in 2011 and I am deeply saddened to hear about his passing. He was one of the most loving and generous people I have ever met. I stayed with him for about a month and especially remember the way he loved his cat. I hope she is in good hands now. I also met aladdin and his wife for a barbecue one night. The way he spoke about his friendship touched me deeply. May his soul rest in peace. I do know that he is at peace experiencing the greatest kind of love in the hands of god now. The one thing he has always been searching for.

I have just become aware of Thomas' passing. I met Thomas in NYC where we became good friends. I am very confused about all of this and I can't seem to find any answers. All I know is that Thomas was such a kind soul who loved animals and his friends. We stayed in close contact over the years. I am lucky to have known him. I miss him so much. Rest well. Xo.

May I add my sincere condolences to Tom's parents, and sisters Julie and Amy. I became aquainted with each one of you in 1971. I was a student at the time and you graciously welcomed me into home. Each one of you have remained forever in my heart. I am sorry to say I have lost track of you all. My thoughts and prayers are with each one of you again now. I will always treasure my memories from that time in my life, 41 years ago, when you all extended such grace and love to me. Sincerely, Virgina

We met Thomas through our good friends Aladdin & Sidea, and were privileged to spend quite some time with him during their wedding. I'll never forget the conversation we had on the serious subject of the proper amount of extra olives for martinis. We spent more time with him later but not enough, to our regret. He is a very special person and we miss him very much!
Thomas, you touched our hearts deeply and we pray you are resting in peace with the Lord.

It's taken awhile for me to process the news of Thomas's passing.I had just spoken to him at length on the 24th.My name is Shea Stewart ..I too covered Thomas as a futures broker in which we would spend countless hours going over the market in detail and planning a strategy according to what we thought the market would do.In the the time we spent together ,he in New York and me in Chicago, our friendship grew.We shared a lot of information about previous jobs and situations.Thomas worked here for Kidder in the early nineties so he was aware of the trading floor and the antics it can bring to young guys trying to establish a career. He understood both sides of the business from trading desk to trading floor. He was respected as a customer and trader throughout the trading community. We have been friends since the mid nineties and I would often ask where some of the Viking players are now.Guys like Tommy Kramer..Carl Kasulke..Matt Blair..Mick Tinglehoff anyone rom that timeframe when we were kids.He loved it ..he would then tell some anecdote about having to kick Tommy Kramer out of 1st ave.I will definitely miss him and our conversations of Sid and Marty Kroft..HR puffinstuff..magic flute ..Good Times ..Jimmy Jj Walker ..Maude ..Adriennne Barbeau ..all that crazy stuff Thomas would relish in !We would laugh at all the stuff we would remember as kids and I will always remeber him that way.I can say so much more and will from time to time..I'm glad marc and I have hooked up and shared conversation during such a tough time.Thomas i think about you often and hope you are free of pain in your journey. shea

Thomas my best friend and Brother, DJ Man-X. I pray to have the strength to realize that my you will not be with us again. I have emotions I want to express and I somehow don't know how to put them all in words. But I do know that it will take some time for myself and all of us to be at peace with the reality that he is no longer with us.
I met Thomas in 2007 and we became very good friends and business working colleagues in the music industry.
We had a very strong friendship from that point on.
We performed in many shows together and traveled together as well.
I worked with Thomas in his home office and managed the record label alongside my Wife & Curtis Urbina.
Thomas was very very dear to me and he called me his brother and I thought of him as mine as well as a mentor and an inspiration.
We were family.
He was a generous and thoughtful human person and I have an unconditional respect for him and what he has contributed to my life and others around him.
Thomas did not have a large circle of close friends while in Miami Beach, but he had many fans and admirers.
My Wife and I were very very close to him and spent a lot of time on a weekly and sometimes daily basis.
We stayed at his home when we returned from our travels out of the country.
I want to share one of my favorite moments with Thomas.
We were on our way to North Carolina for a gig.
When we arrived to the airport and before we left the building he asked to see my headphones.
I had an idea as to why...
He had noticed that every time we did a show together my headphones were torn tattered and taped at one end as they had cracked and I never got around to getting a new pair.
But it drove him mad and he always asked “Why wouldn't you go out and get a new pair and get rid of those gawd awful headphones?”, they were too painful for him to look at.
It actually became such a joke that I held on to them as long as I could.
I pass the headphones to him and he asked me to take one last look at them, I happen to have my camera out and snapped this picture as I was nearly falling to the floor in hysterical laughter as he threw them away.
He passed me his extra pair and said “These are yours now,
These have been around the studio since forever, and some of the biggest players have worn them from New York to Miami so take care of them”
I still have those headphones today.
And we laughed the entire trip....was one of my favorite moments with him.
I miss my dear brother.
Rest in paradise.

To Richard and Judith, Herb and Judy, Amy and Julie, Stuart and Jill...and Mark: We wept, we rejoiced and we remembered today. It was good to see you all and relive some memories. I share with you a passage that helped me through the same process you are experiencing today:
God saw that he getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around him and He whispered, "Come with me."
With tearful eyes we watched him suffer and slowly fade away. Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
God Bless Tommy's family and friends.

I worked with Thomas off and on for 18 years. When he worked at Eagle in the mid 90's he was one of my first accounts. I flew up from Chicago to see him and Thomas was worried that I would have no idea where to go or how to get downtown...so he took the time to drive out to the airport and pick me up. At that point I am some no name 20+ yr old right out of school that people in the financial industry could care less about. Thomas took the time to come out there and get me downtown bc it was my first trip seeing an account on the road. Since that visit, I have been on probably 2000 account visits on the road, Thomas is the only person who actually came out to the airport to give me a ride. Was a simple gesture but symbolized the type of guy that he was. He cared about other people...he had a huge heart. Our business is utterly brutal...Thomas had a light hearted way to keep things amusing in challenging times. So I always enjoyed talking to him and working with him. My friend you will be missed and I will see you on the other side.
