Troy N. Smith Sr.

Troy N. Smith, Sr., founder of Sonic, America's Drive-In chain of hamburger restaurants, passed away Monday, Oct. 26, following a brief illness.  He was 87. Smith is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Dollie Twiggs Smith, his daughter Leslie Baugh, his son Troy Smith, Jr., eight grandchildren, Ronnie Baugh, Christopher Baugh, Christi Bercher, Troy Smith III, Eric Smith, David Smith, Travis Smith and Kyle Smith and nine great grandchildren. Services will be held Friday Oct. 30, at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Edmond with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
