We will always cherish the memories of the years Dr. Milz taught three of our children at Way Elementary School.
Her ability to develop their reading and creative writing skills in first grade gave them the boost they needed to thrive in school and in their careers.
We will always keep her in our thoughts and prayers. She was a blessing to every life she touched.

Vera Milz was such a wonderful teacher. She was a person who devoted her life making this world a better place. I worked with her when she taught the children in the first grade~~~so dedicated to her children.
She taught them how to read and write. She went on to write books and articles continuing the love of reading and writing.
She touched many lives and will be greatly missed. Rest in peace, my dear friend. Sending my deepest sympathy to her family and friends.

I am sorry to hear that Vera has passed away. We worked together for many years in the Sewing and Crafts department of the First United Methodist Church of Birmingham Rummage Sale. She would tell us stories of her travels and her craft projects, among them dressing dolls for local Detroit Christmas-time charities. She enjoyed seeing former pupils among our church members, catching up on their lives. She will be missed.
