WILKES-BARRE — Walter Golubieski, 60, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on June 29, 2014, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.
He was born Sept. 15, 1953, in Buffalo, New York, a son of Theresa Andrewlavage Golubieski and the late Walter Golubieski. He was a graduate of Coughlin High School, class of 1971, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Walter was employed as a carpenter for many years. He enjoyed reading and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Dylan Golubieski.
Surviving are his daughter, Jolene Golubieski; grandchildren, Jacob Dylan Golubieski, April Elizabeth Tavaglione; mother, Theresa Golubieski; brother, Joseph Golubieski and his wife, Laurie Rusett; sister, Debbie Polacheck and her husband, Joseph; former wife, Patricia (Jenkins) Ressler; nieces and nephews, Bradley Snell, Brittany Snell, Christopher Polacheck, Steven Polacheck, Michelle Polacheck, John Doran, Karli Doran.
A memorial gathering will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre.
Memorial donations can be made at the funeral home.

So sorry to hear about Wally. Our cousin Darlene in Harveys lake notified me and I contacted family. He my brother-in-law for almost 17 years. Breaks my heart.

It was very Sad to hear of Walters passing...I worked with Him for the past few years...He was a Great Guy..and a very hard worker..One of the Best...I..along with his other coworkers will miss him deeply...God Bless His Family...I am very Sorry!!!
