I miss our music chats in the Navi.
I often think back to our music chats in the Navigation and that day I broke into your house with the police only to find you sleeping and you asking "What are you doing here Tom and I replied "Well you said if I was ever passing pop in so here I am. I ended up feeding Annie's bird and bringing you meals on wheels until Annie returned from here weekend away. You were one of the best, always happy and with a smile. Keep a seat warm for me and one day we'll continue our chats in God's bar.

An old school friend
In talking to an old mutual friend recently Warren's name cropped up. I was so shocked and deeply saddened to hear the news. I knew Warren from Primary School days and grew up in the next street. We ended up at different Secondary Schools but always saw each other locally due to the proximity of our homes. Music was always his passion, he would often invite me in to his home in Westmorland Avenue to attempt to play his drum kit. We lost touch mid teens whenmy familymoved home. Deepest sympathy and condolencies to his family. Mick Penn

Warren R.I.P.
Have only just found this site!..I talked with Warren quite a while back.. on Bob Miller's phone!...we hadn't seen each other or talked for quite a few years...but Warren didn't worry about that, it was as if we'd talked only yesterday...after another conversation he invited me to come and see him and Annie in Wales... unfortunately we never got to meet up again...sadly missed old buddy..R.I.P. Warren. God bless you

GIGGED WITH THE FABULOUS POODLES
In 1976/1977 I was Road Manager with The Fabulous Poodles. By chance we did a lot of gigs with Warren Harry. On stage he was a great singer - off stage he was very likeable and down to earth. He put me in mind facially of Steve Harley (Cockney Rebel) I knew a few years before when he was plain Steve Nice. Over the years I've searched for Warren on the Internet to no avail. Keeps coming up with an Italian composer called Harry Warren. Today I DID find Warren but it is too late. May his family know he is missed and still being thought of fondly. GREAT SADNESS AT LOSS BUT MEMORIES FOREVER
I am late with this message of sadness and condolences and apologise for that....I have already expresssed my sympathiesto ANNIE when she informed me of WARRENS untimely departure. I can recall WARRENS great Human Compassionwhich he showed to me during my days in the original YUM YUM BAND with whom I played drums. I was Alcoholic and Warren knew this, but he didnt kick me out but offered me support and encouragement. Eventually I left of my own free will and realise now that anyone else would have got rid of me and shunned mebut Warrens compassion certainly helped me in reaching soberiety 12 years ago. Another great strength Warren displayed was his ability to takefour everyday guys, GRAHAM DIBBLE-PETE the FEET-JOHN KANE and MYSELF and through his leadership, music and encouragement turn us into a Brotherhood from which the phrase evolved.... WARREN HARRY ARE A BAND....and they where... both musically and brotherly...Thanks 'Warren'....Paddy Burns....

Good memories
Saw Warren Harry around the London colleges in 1977-1978. How good was the band! 'The Queen', 'I am a Radio' and 'Sail On' still in my memory - and somewhere in my record collection!

Sad news, sorry it's late
I was in one carnation of Warren Harry and the Yum Yum Band, playing bass. Not too good, but inexpensive, "boogying" when necessary, despite my usual role of standing at the back going Bom Bom Bom.
In the band when i first joined we were Warren, Graham Dibble (sadly no longer with us) Paddy Burns, John Kayne & me. Paddy went off and we got John (Biffa) Clarke on drums, heintroducedus to Jakko (who would probably rather forget this time), cor he's good!!
I was kicked out (OK... ) and then worked for Studiomaster for 24 years. I kept trying to find Warren on the web and sadly never found him in time.
I know it took me a long time to put this up here... felt a bit like I wasn't part of life anymore.
I do have a copy of the album (oncassette) which I guess could be copied.
Best wishes and deepestsympathies

From an original Yum-Yum Band member
Shocked and saddened to only now discover quite by accident the passing of an old friend and fellow musician that I knew back in the 70's. I was the original keyboard player with Warrens Yum-Yum band and spent most of that decade touring and playing with Warren both in England and later in Holland. I left the Band in Holland and then lost contact with Warren - only now to rediscover him under such sad circumstances.
RIP - With fond memories and happy times back in the '70's

Worked with Warren in 1980s
I have just heard the terribly sad news. I worked with Warren in the 1980's, writing several songs with him and producing his songs with Bucks Fizz as well as his solo records. He was an enormously talented person and a real pleasure to work with. Also, in a business populated with a lot of unpleasant, egocentric people he stood out as one of the genuinely nice guys.
My thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.

Warren's solo stuff
Sorry to hear the news. Though I didn't know Warren personally, we spoke a few times on the phone and he seemed like a genuinely nice bloke. His records will continue to be played and enjoyed in this house, so some small part of Warren will be keeping up the great Dutch adventure that he began when he moved his band to Holland all those years ago. He might've been, in body, in the country only for a short time, but in spirit part of him is still here! Cheers Warren!

Can you pass this on to Warren Harry's wife please
This is a message for Annie, wife of Warren. i was very sad to hear about Warren today. Just to say what a lovely person Warren was. I knew him since junior school at Broughton Avenue many moons ago and also through our high school years. He and his parents lived quite close to us. He was always lots of fun, and he was a kind and warm guy. I'm very sorry that you have lost a lovely person like Warren. I send you warm wishes to help you through this trying time Annie.Lyn [email protected]w
