Wayne Hoff Obituary
Wayne was born in Lodi, Ca. to Dr. Helmuth and Virginia Hoff on August 28, 1952.
He attended Lodi High School, graduating in 1970. He attended California State University, San Diego, and UC Berkeley, receiving a BA in Linguistics and English.
He worked as a technical writer for the Silicon Valley Defense Department and various Silicon Valley firms such as HP and Palm, writing the manuals for the HP printer and the Palm Pilot. He would work until a project was finished and then spend six months traveling the world, with too many adventures to count. Wayne also was the ghostwriter of a book about the Indian Invasion of Alcatraz, which required that he live on the Indian reservation with the principle leader of the invasion. Later in life, through much education and experience, Wayne became an Energy Medicine Specialist, and began his business called Biospiritus, a healing service of the Body-Mind-Heart-Soul-Spirit. He served people in the Monterey, Santa Cruz, Stockton, and San Ramon while living in the Carmel area for many years. Four years ago, Wayne moved to Cody, Wyoming and continued his business of Biospiritual healing while enjoying the wide open, beautiful landscape of Wyoming, especially Yellowstone National Park and it's surroundings.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Virginia Hoff (1990) and Dr. Helmuth Hoff (2006). Wayne is survived by two brothers, Dr. Mark (Dr. Nancy) Hoff , Dr. James (Dr. Mary) Hoff, and one sister, Carolyn Hoff. He is survived by nieces and nephews, Dr. Brad Hoff, Dr. Troy Hoff, Sarah Hoff, Ryan Hoff, Chris Hoff, and Daniel (Vanessa) Hoff. He is survived by great nephew, Micah Schumacher, and three great nieces, Adeline Schumacher, Mia Golden, and Olivia Hoff. Wayne is also survived by his many, many friends that he has had over the years, which he treasured so much. (You know who you are!)

Dear Wayne: Sharon and I really missed you at the last Biogeometry Special Topics in Florida. We reminisced about hanging out with you during and after previous Biogeometry classes, wandering around Asheville and dancing in the streets at street parties in the summer, or walking through the forested neighborhoods of the retreat centre where we stayed in those early days, cicra 2007. Wow. Just found out about Wayne's passing. He literally saved my life once. I hadn't talked to him in quite a while and was trying to contact him when I found this page. I'm glad it was quick. If anyone deserved that Wayne did. I miss you old friend.

Wayne made so much of his life. He took his brother Jim and me to enjoy Robin Williams, and I met up with him at a lecture by the Dalai Lama. Wayne was honest and extraordinary. He respected truth and knowledge. He journeys on toward integration and higher purpose. Miss you Wayne.

I texted Wayne 11/24/23 to say happy Thanksgiving. Little did I know he was in an auto accident until I searched the Internet when I didn't hear from him. When Wayne left CA for WY, I met him to give him back his copper still. Wayne taught me to distill. I told him how I envied his ability to go to a brand new place and make a new life. He encouraged me to take many helpful classes. I admired his courage to travel everywhere, his sense of adventure, his desire to help others and his thirst for knowledge about personal growth. I remember in one year alone, he traveled deep into Turkey to dance with whirling Sufis and he went to Africa to help children without access to medicines learn how they could use mindful practices and massage to alleviate headaches and other ailments. I loved how Wayne wanted to talk about deep, meaningful subjects, rather than current events or pop culture. I am going to miss him. He was a true friend for which I am very grateful. They are hard to come by. If I know Wayne, he's enjoying the greatest adventure of them all. Thanks for sending the dove this morning Wayne!
