I heard from my mother about Wes's passing. I am very sorry. Our family has fond memories of his time as minister at Monroeville United Methodist church. Their youth group was especially important in my life and I remember the fellowship of his son Rob.

Wes was a supportive, wonderful person. I served as a member of the Board of Directors when he was the president of the Monroeville Chamber of Commerce. It was a pleasure to work with him. He was a terrific guy and had a glowing smile. He will be missed. I will always remember his heartfelt and, often humorous blessing, before every Chamber luncheon.

With deepest regret and sorrow in the loss a wonderful comrade and friend to military families in Western Pennsylvania. I worked closely with Colonel Blaha in joint efforts to preserve a Military Commissary in the region, and found him to be a warm, caring, and most remarkable man. I'll long remember his clear and analytical thinking, his compassion, and his passion to help his fellow human beings. A true patriot and faithful friend. God Bless Chaplain Colonel Wesley E. Blaha, his friends, and all of his family. He has found peace.
