William Ernest Bright
William Ernest Bright, 78, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, returned home March 8, 2006 from complications due to pancreatic cancer.
He was born at home on January 20, 1928, in Bradfordsville, Kentucky to Henry Ether Bright and Lena Virginia Stayton Bright.
He graduated from Bradfordsville High School.
He worked as a farmer in the tobacco fields with his family in Kentucky. He also worked as a mechanic and a truck driver for Tal's Ready Mix. Then went to work for Mack Truck until he retired.
He served in the United States Army during World War II, and was stationed in Fan Francisco, California when he met his forever companion Theresa Elizabeth Bengsch. They were married on February 24, 1948 in Helena, Montana. Then on June 24, 1970 they were sealed for eternity in the Salt Lake Temple.
He has such a love of fishing and camping and hunting with his family. He also loved sitting on the porch making homemade ice cream.
They were blessed with eight (8) children: Lesa (Ray) Howe, Donald (Lynn) Bright, Shirley (Neil) Barney, Virginia (Dennis) Butler, Judy Bright (deceased), Mary (Dave) Alexander, David (Tammy) Bright, Stephen Bright.
He is survived by his sister Julia Wilcox, brother Lloyd (Marilyn) Bright, sister Blanche Stevens, many nieces and nephews, 32 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren and 2 more on the way.
Preceded in death by his daughter, mother, father, grandparents, and brother Charles.
Funeral Services will be held on March 10, 2006, at the Riverton 20th Ward, 1855 W. 13400 S., Riverton, Utah at 1:00 p.m. under the direction of Broomhead Funeral Directors. There will be a viewing the same day 2 hours prior at the church. Interment at Utah Veterans Memorial Park.

Uncle Bill looked so good when we saw him and it was so sad to see him go he is with Charlie and Helen now, but we know we will see him again!!

We want all the brothers and sisters to know we love them!

I hope all of you take comfort in knowing that you did it all perfectly. No one could have been surrounded by more love or been better cared for than Bill was.

His passing will leave a huge void. I only knew him in later years, but it was obvious that he had grown and that he loved and appreciated all of you. You are a tight, loving family. May this experience be a sweet bond for all of you forever.
