Our Deepest Sympathies. I knew Billy from our Kandy days. A gentleman to his finger tips.
Billy was the drummer in the band "Dark Tan" and played at the first Antonian Dance in Melbourne in 1980. Gill and I had the pleasure of Billy staying with us that weekend. Gill's family, the Harris' and Collin-Thomes were close friends being from a Planting community in the Uva District of S/L.
The Antonian fraternity together with Gill and myself wish Billy and his family God's Blessings.

Sad to hear of the passing of Billy. I was a couple of years senior to him at Trinity but I remember his round and smiling face very well when he was in Napier and I in Alison during the sixties. We were involved in Student Christian Movement (SCM) activities together and he was either in the school choir or was an altar server in the chapel during Rev MFD Cripps' chaplaincy. Billy was very interested in music and was a cheerful and nice chap. He is now in a better place no doubt where there is no more pain and suffering. May his soul rest in peace.

I have not seen Billy since August 1966 when I left Trinity College but I have the fondest memories of Billy from our Dormitory days at Napier house where he was my neighbour to the left. We were so young and so in love with our first female connections and the memory of that schoolboy anguish and ecstacy and the hours spent writing love notes to our respective girl friends brings back wonderful memories, joy and laughter. God Bless you Billy and I am sure that you are where you were always meant to be- up there with Christ. Mahendra de Silva- Melbourne
