William H. Dietz, Jr.
William H. Dietz, Jr., 85, of Quakertown died April 2, 2010 in Grand View Hospital Sellersville. He was the husband of the late Ruth Naomi (Meyers) Dietz. Born in Milford Twp., PA he was the son of the late William H., Sr. and Stella (Frank) Dietz. He was a tire builder for Firestone in Pottstown before retiring. Bill was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was the neighborhood handyman always helping others. Bill also enjoyed hunting, golfing, gardening, singing country music and yodeling. He was also a former member of the Quakertown Moose. He was a member of First United Church of Christ in Quakertown where he was a former usher. William was a U.S. Army veteran serving during WW II where he was a staff sergeant and received the purple heart and other decorations. Survivors: He is survived by two daughters, Pamela S. Dietz of Sellersville, Deborah A. Steskal and her husband, Ronald of Chalfont; a son, Jeffrey A. Dietz of Quakertown; five sisters, Dorothy Grube of Richlandtown, Florence Fosbenner of Green Lane, Cora Thomas of Pennsburg, Mildred Wolf of Quakertown and Catherine Sloyer of Pennsburg; two brothers, Paul of Northampton and Raymond of Quakertown; four grandchildren Ryan, Timothy, Jason Steskal and his wife Kimberly and Andrew Dietz. He was predeceased by three brothers Robert, Earl, Charles and a granddaughter Christine Steskal. Services: Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown. There will be no calling hours. Immediately following the service the family will receive friends and relatives at West End Fire Co., 1319 Park Ave., Quakertown.
