Age 73, on Monday, September 17, 2018 of Castle Shannon. Beloved husband of June L.; father of Lori (Terry McCartney) Monahan, Shawn (Tracey), Scott, Heidi (Bob McAdams) Monahan and George Jay (Jennifer); grandfather of Kurtis Monahan; brother of Betty Jane Collins, Sam (Phil) Schaefer and the late John and Michael Monahan; also survived by nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and his beloved dog, Sparky. Friends will be received at the JOHN F. SLATER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, 15227, on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Friday, at 10:00 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Parkinson's Foundation of Western PA, 575 Lincoln Ave., Bellevue, PA 15202 or American Heart Association, 4 Gateway Center, 444 Liberty Avenue, Suite 1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
