Mr. Poley died Thursday, August 7, 2003 in Laurel Gardens. He was born November 7, 1911, in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Jessie and Eleanor Toumey Poley.
Mr. Poley was a member of Florence Baptist Temple and the Senior Saints Sunday School Class. He was retired from Nucor Steel.
Surviving are daughters, Shelley (Larry) Gore of Florence, and Lynne (Ernie) Brummett of Oak Ridge, TN; sons, Tommy (Cathy) Poley of Gulfport, MS, and Leon Poley of Jonesboro, AR.; four special grandchildren, Jennifer Gore, Amy Gore, Michele Hatchell, and Melanie Fritz, plus numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Ann Eileen Poley; daughter, Darla Clements Foster; and sons, Ray Poley and David Poley.
Cain Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Paw-Paw, this is the last day your Guest Book will be online. It has been a day shy of one month since you left this life and I miss you more than words can say.
