Retired Ford VP
William passed away from natural causes on April 13, 2015 in the bosom of his family.
He was predeceased by his wife Betty (nee Hefford), his brother Donald and two grandchildren, Simon and Braydon. He is survived by his four sons from his first wife Rose Elsie Wilson: Tony and Dr. Susan Graham, George and Myrna Wilson, Kevin and Denise Wilson and Scott Wilson. William was also a grandfather and a great- grandfather. He was also the father of two step-children, Garry and Elizabeth; as well as the loving companion for the last few years to Patricia Morin.
He was born June 22, 1925 on a farm in the Strawberry district of Leduc, Alberta Township. He attended the one room rural school through grade nine and attended high school in Edmonton. William joined the Air Force in 1944 and was later transferred to the Army. Upon his discharge in 1946 he entered U.B.C where he received his degree in Commerce in 1949. His business career started at the Vancouver district office of Ford in April of 1950. His career progressed and took him to Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto, and then Oakville, Ontario. He became Vice President of Sales and finished as Vice President of Parts, Service, and Customer Relations. William worked with Ford's dealers across the country and was very proud of the dealer organization. After retirement he enjoyed his family, friends, golf and extensive travel. William was loved and respected by all whose paths he crossed.
