Jack Luttmer

Jack Luttmer, 83, of Burlington, KY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, KY. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Jack dedicated many years of his life to his work as a supervisor at Castellini Produce, where his strong work ethic and dedication shone brightly. He was known for his craftsmanship, earning him the nickname of having "magic hands." Jack's talent with wood knew no bounds; he could fashion the most beautiful creations and had a knack for fixing anything that crossed his path. His creative spirit extended beyond woodworking, as he also enjoyed painting and exploring various artistic endeavors. A man of deep faith, Jack was a devoted member of the First Church of Christ, where his love for Jesus was evident in his daily life. He found joy in the simple pleasures of spending time with his family, immersing himself in nature, and embarking on adventures, particularly in Hawaii and Alaska. Jack's culinary skills were inherited from his father, and he delighted in baking cakes and cooking for his loved ones. His talents knew no bounds. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rosetta Luttmer; and brothers, Frank and David Luttmer. Jack is survived by his loving wife of almost 61 years, Jill Luttmer (nee Gildehaus); children: Jeanine Luttmer-Sturm, Jacqueline Luttmer-Meyer (James Glass) and John Luttmer, Jr. (Jessica); grandchildren: Amanda Day (Shawn Huff), Jack Luttmer and Joshua Luttmer; and great-grandchildren: Blake Day, Sophia Day, Preston Day and Logan Huff.
