Grosse Pointe Woods - Edward "Ted" Monahan died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 25, 2021 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of the late Marilyn E. Loving father of Michael P. Monahan (Janean), Kimberlie A. McAllister (Andrew), and Kevin C. Monahan (Sarah). Dearest grandfather of Matthew (Jonese) Monahan, Andrew McAllister (Trisha), Erin Monahan (Phil), Kerrie Monahan Peterson (John), Brian McAllister, Nicholas McAllister, and Gavin Monahan, and great grandfather of Cora Monahan. Dear brother of the late John, William, Daniel, the late Honey Ann O'Meara, and Patricia Raynal. Visitation Tuesday, March 2nd, 12p-4pm at Chas. Verheyden, Inc., 16300 Mack Ave., Grosse Pointe Park. Funeral Mass Wednesday, March 3rd, 10:00am at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church, 157 Lake Shore Rd., Grosse Pointe Farms. Memorial contributions may be made to: the Michigan Humane Society, 30300 Telegraph Rd. Suite 220 Bingham Farms, MI 48025. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, face masks are required and no more than 25 people at a time will be permitted for the funeral home visitation. Share a memory at: www.verheyden.org
