ANDREW SIPP Obituary
After a valiant month long battle to overcome his traumatic brain injury, Andrew Robert Sipp passed away on Tuesday May 4th, 2010. He was surrounded by his family and went peacefully onto his next journey. He will be treasured and loved forever by his family and friends. His zest for life and his fun loving enthusiasm brought such joy and happiness to those who knew and loved him most. Andrew was a New York City Police Officer in Highway Patrol Unit One. He was passionate about his job and thoroughly enjoyed the camaraderie he felt with his fellow Highway officers. He was respected and greatly valued by his peers who supported his family through this very difficult time. His pride in being a New York City Highway Officer was surpassed only by his love for his family. He was committed to all aspects of his work and to his fellow officers. There are no words that will fully express how his family will miss Andrew. He was and will always be the center of their lives. Over the years he gave them the greatest gifts they could have ever hoped for in the way that he watched over, nurtured and loved them. He was full of adventure and possessed a pure sweetness that they cherished. He was best friend to his wife Maureen through all that life gave them together. He was strong, courageous and the most beautiful man she could have ever hoped for. His daughter Skylar hit the jackpot when she got him as a dad. He made her life so wonderful and loved her thoroughly and completely. His family will be forever blessed by his presence in their lives. The joy, laughter and love he gave will be with them always, as will his indelible spirit. Because of his enduring strength they will be able to move forward holding him always in their hearts and minds. Andrew was born in Ridgewood, NJ to John and Patricia Sipp but spent most of his life in South Nyack.
