Angel Araneta Obituary
Angel A. Araneta of Yonkers died on Sunday February 5, 2012 at age 74. He was born on April 4, 1937 to Juan and Rosa (Aldeguer) Araneta in the Philippines. Mr. Araneta worked as a bank manager and also as a sugar planter. On August 15, 1970 he married Margaret Montinola; she survives. Angel was a parishioner of Christ the King Church; and when in the Philippines a member of the Rotary Club and Upsilon Sigma Phi. Besides his wife Margaret, he is survived by his 2 sons; Jose Luis and Juan Carlos Araneta; 4 brothers John, Jesus, Rafael and Valentine and 3 sisters Rosemarie, Katy and Marie Pilar. He was predeceased by his sister Grace. Visiting hours will be both Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in Christ the King Church on Friday February 10th at 10am. Committal service will follow at Ferncliff Chapel.

I count AAA (Angel Aldeguer Araneta) as one of my closest brods at UPLB. We kept our bond alive in Bacolod City after graduation. To me, he is a model Upsilonian.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Our deepest condolences to you. Unfortunately, I am currently based in London and cannot be with you (cannot attend the wake, funeral service and last rites) but you are in our thoughts and prayers.
I remember the time that I came to your home in Yonkers a few years ago with the Upsilonians and we had really good food, good drink and good company.
