Domenic Serio Obituary
Domenic Michael Serio was born to Dominick Serio and Mary DeLuca Serio on August 13th, 1936 and left this earth on October 7th, 2015, at 9:40 p.m., a loving husband, father, poppy and uncle who has been the Rock of Gibraltar and constant source of love and support to his family for as long as memory can render.
Where does one begin to say goodbye to such an important person? The answer, you can't. For every fading hour a wonderful part of him still remains. Surviving Domenic is his four beloved children, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was the devoted father of Karen (Shannah) Serio-Dutka, Michael Serio, Debora Serio-Vaughan, and Laurie Serio-Foglia. Esteemed and much-loved Pop to Billy. Respected and admired Grandfather-Poppy to Nicholas and Brandon, children of Michael and Debra Serio; to Stephanie, Jessica and Eric Ryan, children of David and Debora Serio-Vaughan; to Bill, Matthew and Rachel, children of Laurie Serio-Foglia. Loving great-grandfather-great poppy of Benjamin and Isaiah, children of Jessica, grandchildren of David and Debora Serio-Vaughan, of (LJ) Luke John, child of Nicholas and Lisa, grandchild of Michael and Debra Serio, of James, child of Bill and Ivette, grandchild of Laurie Foglia.
Domenic, my "Mr. Mr." and our "Poppy" will be sorely missed.
Family will receive friends on Friday, October 9 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 10 at 10am at St. Mary Of The Assumption Church, 55 Valley Road, Katonah, NY. A private committal will follow.
