Donald Somers Obituary
Donald S. Somers, a lifelong resident of Tuxedo, New York, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2021 at Woodcliff Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey.
Donald was born on April 23, 1927 in Arden, New York to William and Elise Hoffman Somers. He was a graduate of George F. Baker High School, Tuxedo, NY, and City College of New York. He joined the Marines during World War II.
Donald was employed by General Motors as General Manager and upon retirement he was the Proprietor of the Tuxedo County Store. To all who knew him, Donald was a true gentleman.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Patricia Brennan (John) and his brother Bernard (Anne).
There will be no visitation. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 1, 2021 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Tuxedo, New York. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Tuxedo Park, NY.
