EUGENIA ARCHER Obituary

Eugenia Landsberg Archer of Scarsdale, New York, was born on March 7, 1916 in New York City, New York. Her father, Mortimer Landsberg, was one of the founders of the American Stock exchange. Her mother was Kathryn Landsberg. She was raised in Mamaroneck New York and attended Dana Hall, Vassar College and graduated from College of New Rochelle. She was married to William Pierce Archer, Chairman of the Board of Troy Shirt Makers Guild, on June 26, 1940 and they were married for over 50 years. She is is survived by her four children, Kathryn Sapio, William P. Archer, Jr., Ellen Larson and John P. Archer and her sister Alice Maulsby of New Canaan, CT. She was the proud and loving grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was the founder of Pierce Archer Antiques, specializing in fine English antiques, which operated for 30 years on Kraft Avenue in Bronxville, New York. She passed away on February 17, 2003 of natural causes. Calling hours at The Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home, Bronxville between the hours of 2 to 4 and 7 to 9PM Wednesdays. Mass of Christian Burial St.Pius X Church, Scarsdale on Thursday Feb. 20th, at 10AM.
