FRANK MANCINI Obituary

MANCINI, FRANK J.Frank J. Mancini, a lifelong resident of Yonkers, died Tuesday, December 14, 2004. He was 75 years old. He was born on July 31, 1929 to the late Frank S. and the late Louise (Biunno) Mancini. Frank attended Yonkers Public Schools; graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Iona University and received his Master's Degree from Oneonta University. He worked as a Teacher in the Yonkers Public School System for over 40 years, retiring in 1995. Afterwards, he continued as a volunteer, working in Yonkers Schools and at local churches. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, who served honorably during the Korean Conflict. Frank is survived by his beloved sister, Anna (Gary) Hangac of Milan, NY; by his dear brothers: Robert (Marge) Mancini and Edward J. (Theresa) Mancini, both of Yonkers; by his many loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; many dear relatives and a host of caring friends. One sister, Rose Mancini and one brother, Matthew Mancini predeceased him. Wake to be held Thursday, December 16, 2004 from 7-9 pm and Friday, December 17, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated 10 am on Saturday, December 18, 2004 at Mt. Carmel R.C. Church, Yonkers, NY. Burial follows at St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his loving memory may be made to: Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and School, c/o 70 Park Hill Ave., Yonkers, NY 10701.
