GERTRUDE D. OLIVER

Gertrude D. Oliver, a resident of Mt. Vernon for over 43 years, a prior resident of New Rochelle, departed this life December 23, 2003. Born March 6, 1925 to Fred and Mamie Roundtree, Thomasville, GA. A member of St. Paul Refuge Tabernacle served faithfully as Church Pianist, Director of Music, Chairman-Trustee Board, member of Missionary Society. A graduate of Douglas High School, Fort Valley State College with a BS in Music and a Master's from Columbia University. She taught in several school districts in southern Westchester, retiring in 1989. Leaving, to cherish her memories, a devoted husband, Elder Theodore Oliver, one sister Joreatha Malone (John), one brother, Elder Earl Rountree (Vera), a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visiting Wednesday 9-10 am St. Paul Refuge Tabernacle 58 Plain Ave., New Rochelle Funeral Service Wednesday 10 am at Church, Interment, Kensico.
