Joseph Carvin Obituary
Carvin, Joseph Edward, 84, died March 10, 2011 in Hillsboro Beach, Florida. He was born in Philadelphia, PA and lived in Port Chester, NY for 30 years before moving to Hillsboro Beach in 1986.
A graduate of Scarsdale High School Joe served in the Navy in WWII. After graduating from the University of Miami with a degree in fine arts, Joe joined Eastman Chemical where he worked for 32 years as a marketing manager in the textile industry. After retiring from Eastman, Joe moved to Florida where he resumed his lifelong love of painting and sculpting.
Joe is survived by his wife of 57 years Barbara, and his 3 children Joe and Michael Carvin and Lisa Palazzo as well as 8 grandchildren.
A memorial wake will be held at the Graham Funeral Home on Friday April 8th from 4 pm to 8 pm and a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 260 Westchester Avenue, Port Chester, NY on Saturday April 9th at 10:30 am.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sun Sentinel Children's Fund, P.O. Box 5407, Ft. Lauderdale, and Fl. 33310.

Joe Carvin had the God-given gifts of good nature, good humor and a very good soul. Creative, witty, gentle and kind, Joe will always be remembered in our hearts as a dear friend full of love of laughter, humanity and life. It was a true blessing to know him!
