LUCIA MANCUSO PETRIELLO

Lucia Mancuso Petriello, a former Nyack resident died on March 20, 2002. She was 87 years old. Born in Monroe, NY on January 31, 1915 to Joseph Mancuso and U'telia (D'Amore) Mancuso. Lucia married Joseph P. Petriello on June 27, 1937 and moved to Nyack where she lived at 5 Lawrence Street for over fifty years. She was employed by Lederle Laboratories in Pearl River, NY. She retired in 1980. She was a member of St. Ann's R.C. Church in Nyack as well as a member of the Nyack Senior Center. She was living with her daughter, June Giles in St. Thomas, PA for the past 3 years. Lucia is predeceased by her husband, Joseph P. Petriello who died on April 15, 1995 as well as a son, Joseph B. Petriello, he died in May of 1991, a brother, Charles Mancuso and sisters, Mary De Stefano, Anna Stella and Amy Vitanza. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, June and Kenneth Giles, St. Thomas, P.A., brother, Gabriel Mancuso, Monroe, NY, sisters, Lena Coppoletta, Franklin, NJ and Caroline Fischer of Spring Hill, FL. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Erik Giles, Richmond, VA, Heath Giles, Martinsburg, WV, Megan Rinaldo, Chambersburg, PA, Erin Pammer, Walpole, NH, Kristen Petriello, Raleigh, NC, Joseph M. Petriello, Slate Hill, NY and two great-grandsons, James and Liam Pammer, Walpole, NH and numerous nieces and nephews. Visiting will be held on Sunday from 7 to 9 pm and on Monday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at St. Ann's R.C. Church in Nyack at 10 am. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Lucia's memory to Menno Haven Nursing Facility, 2075 Scotland Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201; Hospice of the Good Shepherd, Lutheran Home Care, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201-8132; Hospice of Rockland County and the American Cancer Society.
