OWEN J. WARD Sr.

Owen J. Ward, Sr. of Yonkers, NY, passed away on February 25, 2002. Owen was born in the Bronx to Owen and Irene Ward. He graduated from Cardinal Hayes H.S., attended St. Lawrence University, and received a graduate degree from Columbia University. Owen was a corporate vice-president for Swingline Inc. He was a co-founder and president of OCS Chemical Engineering Corp. in Cortlandt Manor, NY. Owen was a co-founder and coach of the Hillcrest Lakers Community Club as well as a coach for the Eastchester Blue Devils football program. He as a proud member of the Coast Guard Power Squadron where he was a certified safety inspector. Owen is survived by his beloved wife Barbara, loving sons, Owen Jr., Peter, Kevin, and Chris, his daughter Kim, 11 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. He is predeceased by his first wife Ann and daughter Ann. Visiting hours will be at the FLYNN MEMORIAL HOME today, Wednesday, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. There will be a funeral mass at St. Eugene's Church, Yonkers, on Thursday at 10 am. Internment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
