In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. I first met Steve in early childhood. We use to sing together at Mrs. Cutlers singing classes. After many years, we again connected at VAFB-VSFB. I'll forever miss Steve during communications checks for the various launch missions. Steve will be truly missed by all that knew him.

Steve and I worked together at Quintron for a number of years, before his career opportunities blossomed as he love telecommunications, and proved to be a valuable asset the the VAFB Range each mission when unique telemetry, voice, and other control requirements were needed by the payload customer. His knowledge was vast, and he always got it done. Steve always had a smile when ever we met, and we collaborated on so many projects together, one just enjoyed working with him. I will miss you Steve, Love Bill

I knew Steve through ham radio when I was in my teens in the late '80s and early '90s. I remember him as one of the most patient and kind people in the hobby, and he contributed so much.

How the hell are you?
You would say.
The smile on your mug.
Brighter than day.
Selfless.
Precious.
Happy to be.
Relentless.
Honored to know you.
No hesitation.
That smiling mug.
Brighter than day.
We´re here.
We see.
We live.
Set free.
Rest.
Peace.
A miraculous feat.
A life well lived.
Your purpose complete...
Farewell.

There was a good group of people back when (LSSC) and Steve was one of them. Always ready to teach who ever wanted to listen, even installers. He sure knew how to work the console and use test equipment. Him and I were always joking around about something.

Our condolences, thoughts and prayers to your family.
Those of us who have known Steve professionally are realizing the loss of an individual who significantly impacted each of us in different ways.
Steve had a deep and legacy-laden knowledge of the infrastructure and systems that support space launch both locally at Vandenberg and beyond.
He was a patient mentor in these technical things, but he was also a kind colleague - one of few I have considered to be a friend.
There is grief of course, but I will always smile when I see any one of the many things he left to help us do what we do.
He didn't wear a military uniform, but please know that he served this country faithfully.
Steve is a Patriot and a Hero in his own right (and in my eyes).

Steve, you taught me so much about repeaters and you were always ready to help. It was so good to see you again recently. Ham radio without you will just not quite be the same. My condolences to your family.

Steve, I am lucky to have known you. We shared many hours supporting the NRO mission. You never let your handicap stop you. So glad we reconnected through ham radio. You will be missed. John Kershaw
