Doris Cronin Obituary
passed away peacefully Monday, February 8, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years Robert, and her parents Leo and Anna Buechler.
Doris was born November 30, 1932 in Louisville. Her greatest loves were her family and her dogs.
Survivors include her children, Richard Cronin (Sherill), Rebecca Graves (David), Diana Lynn Morris (Chris), Patricia Benedetti, Robert E. Cronin (Laura) and Valerie Hamad (Curtis); grandchildren, Christopher Cronin, Lauren Willoughby (Jeremy), Kristen Graves, James Morris, Danielle Morris, Brittany Mathis (Rico), Mark Benedetti, Addilaide Cronin and Mackenzie Miller-Reeves and great-grandchild Skylar Mathis.
The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 11, 2016 at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, Hikes Lane Campus, 3042 Hikes Lane, followed by burial in St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Mass of the Air or the Arthritis Foundation. Madolyn and I send our deepest condolences to each member of Doris' family. My wife and I were, indeed, fortunate to spend some extended time with her after her last operation. Both of us remarked how pleasant and loving Doris was to all she met. Madolyn and Doris seemed to form an immediate bond with each other which was wonderful for each to share. Thank you Doris for being too short a time a part of our lives. May you rest in peace.

Doris was such a sweet lady. I remember her and Bob very well from when I was a teenager and lived on Cawein. Bob was responsible for me getting my first real job in about 1962, a secretary at Goodrich Chemical Company where he worked. On Sunday mornings I would often babysit for the children while she went to church.
Funny the little things one remembers. They had an aquarium with the most beautiful fan-tailed guppies. I was very impressed.
Doris and Bob were two of the nicest people I have ever known. I hope and pray that this special couple has a place reserved for them in Heaven together throughout eternity.

I am at a loss for words. I have lost my dear friend and best neighbor ever. What will I do now.. God speed Mrs Doris you will be immensely missed.
