Elsie Mattingly Pressell

PRESSELL, ELSIE MATTINGLY, 85, departed this life on, Tuesday, January 24, 2006, at Jefferson Manor. She was born May 25, 1920, to the late, Robert and Norma Miller Mattingly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Pressell, and her brother, James Mattingly. Elsie was a graduate of Spaulding College and enjoyed a career in education, teaching for 37 years at Fairdale Elementary. She was a member of the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association. Her quick wit, humor and love of life endeared her to all. She leaves to cherish her memory, Diana and Kenny Strange, Peggy and Don Noblett, Randy and Irene Stephenson of Phoenix, AZ, and their families. A service to celebrate Elsie's life will be held at noon on Friday in the chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Avenue, with interment in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-noon. Friday.
