I was shocked and terribly saddened to learn of John's passing just today. We were music majors and fraternity brothers at Morehead and Susan and I tailgated with John at several UK football games and we enjoyed many meals at the Coach House under his leadership. Please accept our sincere if belated condolences in your loss. May God give you comfort and peace

John and I were music majors and fraternity brothers at Morehead State.
He was a warm and funny friend. Just a few years ago we reconnected on Facebook. My heart goes out to his family. May the Perpetual Light shine upon him. Once a Sinfonian, Always a Sinfonian.

I am so stunned to hear of John's passing. I worked for him at the Coach House, but he was more than a boss, I considered him a friend. We have stayed in touch periodically over the years and when I went to wish him a Happy Birthday on Facebook I was shocked to see condolences on his page. He was a wonderful man. God bless his family whom he loved so much. Happy Birthday in Heaven John.

I want to add my deepest sympathy to so many others whose lives have been touched and enriched by John DuPuy. He always challenged us who were his Band kids to do our best each and every time we came together to perform. He instilled in me a lifelong love of playing music. His legacy continues into the future with each new generation of musicians who come together to form the CCHS Band of Pride. He will be missed.
