Peter Alan Walters

WALTERS, PETER ALAN, 60 born on February 25, 1946 in Kent, England, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at 8:11 p.m. after a most courageous battle with cancer. Peter was an English gentleman that possessed numerous and amazing talents. He had an extraordinary sense of humor, a zest for life, and a deep love of the sea and nature. Peter was blessed with a natural acumen for design and there was nothing that he could not build with his hands. Peter previously worked in the insurance business of Allied Dunbar in England and was made life member of the Million Dollar Round Table. He was instrumental in starting the "Make a Wish Foundation" of England and served as its director for seven years. Peter moved to the United States in 1995 and married Jody on October 20, 1996. Here he worked as a real estate broker and craftsman. Mr. Walters was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin James Walters. Peter leaves behind his wife, Jody of Louisville; mother, Huldah Walters; and four beautiful daughters, Cindy, Lucy, Naomi and Melanie; two grandsons, Jake and Joshua all of whom reside in England. Private services will be held in celebration of his wonderful life and the precious memories he has imprinted on our hearts. Thank you, Peter, for your devoted love to us.
