She was the wife of Francis
Barretto with whom she celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary on May 10.
She was born in Chicago, March 13, 1919, daughter of the late Joseph and Harriet (Petak) Maski. She graduated from Streetsville High School in Toronto and attended the University of Toronto. She returned to the United States in the 1940s to Lowell.
Before retiring, Mrs. Barretto was employed for more than 20 years at Murray Printing of Westford. In her earlier years, she was a nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital of Lowell in Pediatrics.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church of Nashua and St. Mary Church of Chelmsford.
She enjoyed traveling with a recent trip on a Bermuda Cruise in May for her 15th wedding anniversary.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Robert Nista of Tyngsboro; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald Letty and Susan Shively of Ellenton, Fla., and Joseph and Susan O'Connor of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Christina Manolopoulos of Westford; two stepsons, Alan Barretto of North Chelmsford, and Steven Barretto of Salem, N.H.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Debbie Dennis, Pam Harvey, Brigette Bell, Kristin Langlois, Jeremiah O'Connor, Rosemary O'Connor, Jarrod Barretto and Gloria Barretto; five great-grandchildren; and many close friends.
She was also the wife of William J. O'Connor, of Westford, who died Sept. 16, 1981.
