Lowell, MA native, Air Force Vet; 81
NEW CASTLE, NH -- David E. Merrill, 81, of New Castle, NH, passed away September 25, 2015, at Webster At Rye Nursing Home.
He was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, on March 21, 1934, the son of the late Winslow E. and Ruth Merrill.
David was a graduate of Lowell High School, Lowell, Massachusetts and served in the United State Air Force.
He was a well-known real estate broker and builder in Chelmsford, Massachusetts and in New Hampshire.
David was a life-long Mason.
He was predeceased by his wife, Helen M. (Nickles) Merrill in 2012.
Survivors include his sister-in-law, Jacqueline Markum of Stamford, CT and brother-in-law, Charles Nickles of Windham, NH.
MERRILL -- A time of visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, September 28, 2015 at the J. Verne Wood Funeral Home-Buckminster Chapel, 84 Broad Street, Portsmouth, NH. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dover Children's Home, 207 Locust Street, Dover, NH 03820. www.doverchildrenshome.org.
