He was the beloved husband of Patricia Ann (Murray) Buckley, who he would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in August. He was born in Lawrence on April 18, 1929 to the late John and Margaret (Carney) Buckley. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School 1946, Boston College 1950 with a degree in Latin and Bentley College 1959 with a degree in accounting, thanks to the GI Bill. John worked for the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, starting in 1952 as tax examiner. He was a jack of all trades. He could fix anything. John enjoyed going to his children's and grandchildren's sporting events. He was a communicant of St. Mary's parish in Chelmsford for the last 64 years. He was a former member of the Chelmsford Elks Lodge 2310 and a volunteer for the Chelmsford Senior Center. He is survived by his daughter Eileen and her husband Brian J. Loucraft of Nashua, NH, his son James J. Buckley and his significant other Rebecca Connolly of Haverhill, his son Patrick J. Buckley and his wife Gia (Sdoia) Buckley of Plaistow, NH, his daughter-in-law Nancy Buckley of Hampstead, NH, his grandchildren; Michelle Ledoux and her husband Chris of Melrose, Sarah Buckley of Hampstead, NH, Jane Buckley of Somerville, Jessica Buckley of Brighton, Bridget Buckley of Plaistow, NH and Sam Loucraft of Nashua, NH.
