She was born in Lewiston, Maine, on Feb. 12, 1935, a daughter of the late Richard Patrick and Loretta Eva (Wilcox) O'Malley. She was educated in the Lowell schools and graduated from Lowell High School in 1953.
Mrs. Marchand was a housewife.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Laurie A. and Mark Barron of Haverhill; a son, Gary F. Marchand of Roslindale; two grandchildren, Noah and Amelia Marchand; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Maureen O'Malley and Richard and Barbara O'Malley, all of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews.
