She was born in Lowell on July 26, 1918, daughter of the late Joseph and Aurore (Cornellier) Comtois. She attended Lowell schools.
Before retiring, Mrs. Girard was employed for more than 22 years with Raytheon Corp. in Lowell.
She was a member of the former Ste. Jean Baptiste Parish. She enjoyed crocheting, camping and spending time with her family.
Her survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Armand John and Marguerite Girard of Hudson; a sister, Cecile Fontaine of Lowell; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Rita Comtois of Dracut, and Gerard and Theresa Comtois of Dracut; three grandchildren and their spouses, Kevin and Kathleen Girard of Dracut, Ann Marie and Matthew MacEachern of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Vivian and Robert Silva of Nashua; four great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Girard was also the grandmother of Diane Y. Girard, who died on Feb. 19.
