Geoffrey Seidlein Obituary

Geoffrey Harold Seidlein East Lansing, MI Geoff, age 53, son of George and Jeanne Seidlein, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2008 at his office, Hubbard, Fox, Thomas, White and Bengston. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanne Seidlein. Surviving are his father, George Seidlein, three children, Anne Seidlein, Patrick Seidlein and Alison Emerson and his wife of 17 years, Catherine Emerson. Geoff was a graduate of Illinois State University and The Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He was an environmental attorney, a partner and member of Hubbard, Fox, Thomas, White, and Bengston for over 25 years. He was an adjunct professor at The Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Geoff was on the board of Woldumar Nature Center and was a member of Holy Cross Parish. He was a loving and devoted father and friend. His sense of humor and personality brought smiles to the faces of everyone who he knew. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 30, 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1611 W. Oakland, Lansing. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River, East Lansing. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Diabetes Association, Memorial and Honor Program, P.O. Box 11537, Alexandria, VA 22312 or Woldumar Nature Center, 5539 Lansing Rd, Lansing, MI 48917 in memory of Mr. Seidlein.
