Kimberly Goodman Obituary
Punta Gorda, FL - Kimberly K. Goodman (Everts), 59, died July 14, 2021, with her family by her side in Punta Gorda, Florida. Kim's family will be having a Celebration of Life on September 25th, from 1:00-4:00 at the VFW Post 7309 in Mason Michigan.
She was born in Clare, Michigan, on July 6, 1962. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon R. Everts (Bud) in 2016 and Carol A. Everts in 2020. Kim leaves behind, her wonderful husband Jeff Goodman, of 11 years. Jeff was Kim's caretaker for the year's she suffered with Frontotemporal Dementia and loved her beyond words. Kim also leaves behind, 2 sons, Jeremy Kores and Jacob Kores, sister Tracey Moore (Bruce), brother Scott Everts (Brenda), stepchildren, Jeffrey (Brittany) and Gabrielle Goodman and 5 grandchildren.
Kim graduated from Mason High School in 1980, Michigan State University in 1985 with a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and went on to earn her Master of Arts degree in 2005. Kim was a teacher, counselor and mentor to all those she touched in her years in Education. Kim had a passion for taking care of her students and giving them the guidance, they needed. Kim will always be remembered for her kind heart, beautiful sole and her passion for family and friends. As Kim's friends would say, she was always smiling, laughing, and enjoying life to the fullest.
Kim will be deeply missed by all the lives she touched.

So so sorry for your loss. She was a beautiful person inside and out. I am the worst friend. We shared many many good times and tough times together. When she was diagnosed, I was scared and freaked out I basically didn't know how to behave. I totally regret my behavior. I am so sorry . May God rest her sole and she be at peace. Much love, Denise

Kim was an amazing teacher and counselor who challenged us all to be our best. She always saw the best in everyone. Kim was a confidant, a friend, and a treasure to our school. She will be greatly missed.

I am saddened to hear the news about Kim. Kim and I taught special education together in Mason. We had such great times together and many laughs. I´ll never forget our "outing" to meet the soap opera "stars." (Attached photo). She was a kind, thoughtful and wonderful person. My heartfelt condolences to her family.

Kim was one in a million, and has always been one of my Dearest friends! So many wonderful times spent together over the years! She was such a lady, so kind and thoughtful, and always smiling. She certainly will be missed
