Camila Garza

Camila Garza LUBBOCK-Camila Garza of Lubbock passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at the age of 92. She was born on July 2, 1921, in Pharr, Texas, to Patricio and Angelita (Garcia) Serna. Camila married Eduardo Garza on Sept. 10, 1939, in Mexico. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Aida and Roberto Estrada, Blanca and Erasmo Flores, and Nina and Frank Flores all of Lubbock; one son, Pablo and Maria Garza of Lubbock; one brother, Hector Serna of Lubbock; two sisters, Manuela Torres and Santos Guerra, both of Pharr; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Camila was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eduardo; eight siblings; and one great-grandson, Jerymi Alecxander Garza. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Combest Family Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with burial to follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
