Maggie Smith Obituary
Her memorial service was held on June 4 at Calvary Baptist Church in Lubbock with Bruce Cotton officiating.
Memorials may be made to Parkinson's of West Texas or Hospice of Lubbock.
She is survived by three children, Kelly Bryant (Jana) of Hattiesburg, Miss., Bear Bryant (Kathy) of San Marcos, Texas, and Melodi Stahl (Cowan) of Lubbock, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins. Other survivors also include two brothers, Farris Keller of Levelland and Verdis Keller of Phoenix, Ariz.; sister Dorris Sanderson of Lubbock; and Barbara Bentley, special caregiver and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ted Smith, parents Roy and Beth Keller, sister Charlene Bentley and nephew Verdis Roy Keller.
Born in Hockley County, Micki started school in Whiteface and graduated from Levelland High School. After that, she traveled the world with her family, living first in Alaska, where she helped co-found the Cheechako Youth Football League. Other stops included Mississippi, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, The United Arab Emirates and Oklahoma on her way back to Levelland. She was employed by South Plains College for 17 years before her retirement and subsequent move to Lubbock.

Just found out about Micki's death. My thoughts and prayers are with all her family. I teach speech at SPC and so enjoyed working with Micki! She would stop by my office or I would stop by hers and we would visit. Such a sweet woman!! Love to you all!

I extend my condolences to the family of Micki Keller Smith. She was a fellow graduate of Levelland High School in the class of '55. Her classmates have many fond memories of Micki in those years, and we will never forget her.
I am glad to read of her most interesting life and all the places she lived and visited. May Micki rest in peace from her long illness.
