PATRICK MALON

1938 - 2017

PATRICK MALON Patrick G. Malon, 79, passed away peacefully June 24, 2017, at home. Patrick was born March 11, 1938. He graduated from Basic High School in Henderson. During the early years of his career, Patrick served in the U.S. Navy from March 11, 1955 to March 10, 1959 and was assigned to the USS Saratoga. He was proud to have worked on the Henderson Police Department and Nevada State Highway Patrol. Patrick enjoyed bowling, golf, competitive pistol shooting and spending time with his family. Patrick was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend to many. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents; and brother. Patrick is survived by his beloved wife, of 38 years, Karen; and children, Patrice (Mike) Mooe Sr., of Killeen, Texas, Ann (David) Slavkin of Centennial, Colo., Mark Pruitt of Las Vegas, and Kami (Megan) Malon Sanders of St. Louis, Mo. In addition, he was a grandfather to Michael E. Mooe Jr., Matthew Mooe, Robert Mooe, Zachary Slavkin, Tova Slavkin, Isaac Slavkin; and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia (Jim) Dodson of Oak Hills, Calif.; and nieces, Sandy (Dan) McMaster and Tammy (Tom) Clyde. Per Patrick's request, there will be no services.
