PETER WELLS

PETER WELLS Peter Wells was born April 17, 1938, in New Westminster, British Columbia, to Ernie Wells and Margaret (Sunny) Gassaway. After gaining U.S. citizenship, he entered the U.S. Navy in 1956. After earning his degree in forestry and history from the University of Washington in 1962, he married Constance Marie Hoskin in 1969. Upon moving to Las Vegas in the early 1970's, he was ordained and founded the church, Center Cross Chapel. He also owned and operated Nevada Truck Equipment, the family business. Peter Wells retired to Panaca in 2003 and continued his ministry there. He founded Bible Talk Ministries, which included the Bible Talk Community Church in Panaca, and an online community of over 5,000. Peter went home peacefully to the Lord, his first and true love, Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012. His prolific writings on the Bible can be found at bibletalkingpoints.com. Peter is survived by his loving wife, of 43 years, Constance Wells; his brother, Michael Gassaway Wells; and children, Patrick Wells and wife, Tina, Eric Wells and wife, Jo, Rochelle Riemenschneider and husband, Paul, and Tracy Jost and husband, David; his grandchildren, Andrew Riemenschneider, Toby Riemenschneider and wife, Samantha, Elizabeth Karl and husband, Michael, Jacob Jost, Kaleigh, Breyden, Eric and Erynn Wells; and great-grandchildren, Logan and Jonah Riemenschneider. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 15, at the Bible Talk Community Church, 1285 Main St., in Panaca. Interment will follow in the Conaway Veterans Cemetery in Caliente under the direction of Southern Nevada Mortuary, 730 Front St., Caliente, NV 89008.
