DUBLIN, GA- Graveside funeral services for Charles Lee Judd, age 88 will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Chaplain David Julian and Greg Senters will officiate.
Mr. Judd was born on December 13, 1924 in Somerset, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Claude and Jane Birchfield Judd. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Covene Wood Judd, a son, James Charles "Bubba" Judd, a grandson, Jamie Judd, and 5 brothers, Jim Judd, Walter Judd, Bobby Judd, Ronny Judd, and Tommy Judd. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #75 for the past 50 years. He was retired as a master electrician. He served in the United States Marine Corps. where he fought in WWII. He also served in the 1st Marine Division at Guadal Canal. Mr. Judd passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center.
Mr. Judd is survived by his son, Robert "Bud" Michael (Minnie) Judd of Dublin, and , daughters, Dianne Judd (Jimmy) Hartley of Eatonton, Lissa Judd (Buddy) Milks of Dublin, and Martha Ann "Mott" Judd (Jimmy) Smith of Lizella, 2 brothers, Ed Judd of Macon, and Bill Judd of Milledgeville, 2 sisters, Beverly Judd Smith of Macon, and Clara Judd Davidson of Eatonton, 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
The United States Marine Corps. will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, July 12, 2013 at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the Physicians, Nurses, and Staff of the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center for the care and love they gave Mr. Judd during his sickness.
