Colonel Moody was my first USAF Squadron Commander in 1978; I was a 2nd Lt. His energy, wit and thoughtfulness were unmatched. I know I'm a little late to extend my condolences, but I check the web periodically regarding certain people, and he was one of them. I'll never forget him or his family.

It was a pleasure to meet a genuine human being and a true patriot.
You lived your life on your own terms, simple, brave and strong.
Rest in peace my friend, may a flight of angels sing you to thy rest.

Laura and Family,
It was an honor to know your parents. I think I've known them (and you) since mid 80's. Old Crows brought us together, and then working with Doug at MERC showed me even more what a super guy he was. He will be missed. I was blessed to see you both at Theatre Macon last year, and we sat with him at the Crow Christmas Party 2017. I am so sorry for your loss, and I will keep you all in my prayers during this difficult time. Much Love,

I took all of Dr. Moody's classes. I still cannot believe how clearly he could remember things from 20+ years ago. His radar knowledge was unlike anything I had ever seen. I hope I become just half the engineer that he was.

Your dad was one of the finest men I've known. A modern day "Atticus Fench" indeed. Just a lovely person. Fine husband, father, friend. He will be deeply missed.

Dr. Moody was a great teacher, inspiration and contributor to the Defense industry. He taught passionately and had plenty of real world experience to back up each lesson. He will be greatly missed by many.

I worked with Doug at ARINC in 2009. Dr. Moody was a great mentor and all around great guy. Hard to find an engineer in WR that doesn't know him.

I was a student of Dr. Moody. He told us a variety of stories of his life experience and of all the amazing things he's done. I appreciate him for his lessons and how he gave me a direction of what I want to do for my future.

I was a student of Dr. Moody's. I took his Electronic Countermeasures class. Some nights I would stay afterwards and he would share with me very interesting stories from his past. I will never forget the things I learned in his class. Rest easy Dr. Moody, I will be forever grateful of the knowledge you shared with me.

I worked Dr. Moody at ARINC beginning in the fall of 2000. I had only been out of the USAF for 30 days, after serving 27 years. He went out of his way to help me adjust to civilian life and working in a civilian atmosphere. I considered him a great teacher and friend. I salute you sir!
