Linda Marshall Taylor, native and resident of Macon, GA passed away peacefully Monday morning July 10, 2023, at the age of 74. A Memorial Service will be held Sat., July 15 at 2:00 PM at Christ Chapel, 170 Starcadia Circle, Macon, GA with Chaplain Charles Starks officiating. The family will greet friends after the conclusion of the formal service.
Born to Aaron Marshall and Dorothy Bozeman Marshall in Macon, April 1, 1949, Linda lived her early life in Middle Georgia. As a young adult, she moved to Columbia, SC with her then husband, Jim Brown, where she raised her two children; Lisa Brown (now Burns) and Jason Scott Brown, and attended the University of South Carolina. She returned to Macon in 1997.
In addition to the career of raising her family, she began a career in corporate financial management in Columbia, bringing her experience in that field back to Middle Georgia, working here in business management and real estate.
Linda is survived by her husband, Richard Taylor; son, Scott Brown; daughter, Lisa Burns; grandsons; Matthew Burns, Cameron Burns, Dillin Brown, and Brady Buff; and their respective families. She was predeceased by her sisters; Deborah Carmichael, Cheryl Barfoot; and husband, Prentiss Edwards.
