Robert Herndon Obituary
April 4, 1929 - January 27, 2017
Macon, GA- Robert Langford Herndon, age 87, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017.
A service to celebrate Robert's life will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, North Gate. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Robert's memory to The Georgia Academy for the Blind, 2895 Vineville Avenue, Macon, GA 31204.
Crest Lawn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Ronnie, I was so sorry to hear about your Daddy passing away. I have fond memories of you and your Daddy when I first starting working on base and visiting with you and you both being so kind to me when I didn't know anyone. I am praying for you and your family. God bless you. Love you

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know Mr. Bobby will be missed tremendously. I will miss his stories, the history of Miller Field, the opportunity to meet Gregg Allman and sell him a horse. So many more. He taught Alesia and I to ride a horse; well in my case get back on after she threw me off. Haha I use to tell him to write all his stories down. My prayers are with you all. It was such an honor to know him. He was always kind, caring and funny. I know God is with yall.
