STOUGHTON - Gerald "Jerry" Anderson, age 85, of Stoughton, Wis., passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Nazareth Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on October 21, 1939, in Madison, Wis., the son of Ernest Anderson and Nora (Weitsman) Anderson.
Jerry graduated from Stoughton High School in 1956. After high school, Jerry joined the U.S Navy. He was united in marriage to Judith (Bowman) on January 1, 1960, in Washington D.C. He was employed as a production worker for Uniroyal (US Rubber Company) for 37 years. He also delivered milk and enjoyed harvesting tobacco.
Jerry enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting and fishing, especially in Canada. He loved travelling around the United States and had visited almost all 50 states. Jerry was an avid card and Bingo player. He enjoyed putting together puzzles with his brother, Ron. During his time at Nazareth, he was very involved in his community. He was well known to others as the "repair man," as he was talented at fixing televisions, remote controls, shavers and small electronics.
Jerry is survived by his daughter, Debbie (Shaun) Schroeder; grandson, Van Schroeder; brother, Ronald Anderson; nephew and niece, Michael Anderson and Linda (Scott) Ziegler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nora and Ernest; wife, Judith; son, Jamie Anderson; and sister-in-law, Beverley Anderson.
A visitation will be held at Gunderson Stoughton Funeral and Cremation Care, 1358 Highway 51 N. at Jackson St., Stoughton, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
