Steve Evans
May 15, 1953 - June 26, 2024
We said our final goodbye to Steve Evans on June 26, 2024. He was born May 15, 1953, to Joan (Zeier) and Don Evans.
Gifted with deep faith, a keen intellect and perseverance he accomplished many of his life goals. In addition to Steve's role at Evco Plastics he had a passion for mining, was a lifelong wrestling enthusiast, all while being a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Julie; daughter, Lyra; sons: Daniel (Jess), Paul (Amy); and grandsons: Nathan and Owen. In addition, he leaves behind many relatives, friends, employees and mentors who all contributed immeasurably to his rich and full life.
We remember Steve with full hearts. He was one of a kind and will be missed by all who had the good fortune to know him.
A special thank you to the staff who cared for him at Oakwood Prairie Ridge. Their support and care is something that we will never forget.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2024, at St. Bernard Cathedral Church, 2438 Atwood Ave., Madison, with Fr. Michael Radowicz presiding. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Steve will be laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery. A luncheon will be served at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Rd., Madison following the burial.
