NORRIDGEWOCK - Dean Almon Yeaton, 90, of Norridgewock, passed away Thursday May 5, 2016, in Togus, Maine. He was born in Norridgewock on the Sandy River Road, Feb. 7, 1926, the son of Benjamin Bryan Yeaton and Maude Alice (Shores) Yeaton.
A lifelong resident of Norridgewock, where he attended grammar school and high school, he worked on his father's farm for many years prior to him being drafted into the Army during World War II.

He is predeceased by his parents; his wife Elvena; his son Benedict Joseph and a daughter Judith (Yeaton) Gamage; a brother Roland Yeaton and a sister Georgia (Yeaton) Greene.
Viewing hours will be held on Tuesday May 10, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan. I heard of Dean's passing from my sister Judith Libby and was surprised for my brother Walter Watts and I were just talking about Dean last week, he told me he had moved into the VA home and that he was 90. What a wonderful life he had and a wonderful family. Sorry I wasn't able to be there for the visitation, but my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I to have many memories of living next door. Many happy ones that make me smile. May your memories carry you and give you the strength you will need in the coming months. God Bless you
